Overview
Erodas is the main setting of The Pabebe Chronicles. It is a realm shaped by magic, greed, war, forbidden love, royal politics, and the consequences of old treaties.
The world was created by Jack Logan as part of his modern Filipino fantasy-comedy saga. Unlike traditional fantasy realms, Erodas blends epic worldbuilding with Filipino humor, social-media language, political satire, romantic drama, and teleserye-style spectacle.
Its history is deeply connected to Maia, the fading of old magic, the eruption of Bulkang Kulam, the rise of kingdoms, the War of Golds, the Treaty of the Valley, and the Battle of Erodas.
Creation by Jack Logan
Erodas was created by Jack Logan as the fictional universe of The Pabebe Chronicles. The realm reflects his love for comedy, romance, fantasy, political drama, and modern Filipino storytelling.
The world is intentionally written with a mix of grand fantasy and everyday Filipino absurdity. Kings issue decrees, witches cast spells, warriors fight wars, and royals cause scandals, but the narration often carries the rhythm of social media bardagulan, afternoon television drama, and comedic public spectacle.
Through Erodas, Jack Logan created a fantasy world that feels epic but still distinctly Filipino in humor, emotion, and voice.
Major Regions
Nieves
Nieves is the cold, snowy, wealthy mountain kingdom of Erodas and the seat of the High Crown. It is ruled by House Aragon and known for its royal pageantry, public spectacle, political power, and rich mountain lands.
The capital of Nieves includes Agora, one of the most important trade centers in the realm. Nieves is also home to the royal family of Haring Tereprencio I de Aragon and his children: Princess Camila, Princess Olivia, Princess Lucia, and Prince Argo.
Evloz
Evloz is the mysterious region of mystics, old magic, witches, diwata, and forbidden lore. It is home to Bulkang Kulam, the dormant volcano that erupted when Maia died.
After the eruption of Kulam and the fading of magic, the diwata of Evloz were later branded by humans as witches. Evloz became associated with magical law, dark spells, sacred bloodlines, and the Witches' Council.
Arcos is the only region that befriended Evloz during the Age of Kings, leading to a continuing relationship between Arcos and the Witches' Council.
Amazon
Amazon is the eastern, tropical, gold-rich jungle region of Erodas. It is known for Amazonian Gold, warrior women, noble houses, glamour, and wounded sovereignty.
Once a royal kingdom, Amazon was demoted under the Treaty of the Valley after the War of Golds. Its royal family was reduced to the rank of Count and Countess, and its gold trade was restricted to Nieves and Arcos.
Amazon later regains its dignity after the Battle of Erodas and the Dissolution of the Treaty.
Barakos
Barakos is the desert region of the Baruk. It was long treated as a wasteland and place of exile after the Treaty of the Valley banished the Baruk from the rest of Erodas.
The Baruk are known for warrior discipline, tribal honor, survival, and resentment against the kingdoms that used and discarded them.
After the Battle of Erodas, Barakos is recognized as a rightful region of Erodas and no longer merely a wasteland.
Bay of Barda
The Bay of Barda is associated with the future of the Baruk after the war. It becomes connected to the rebuilding of Baruk dignity and the possibility of a new settlement or future beyond exile.
Arcos
Arcos is the southern kingdom of House Starkus. It is associated with military strength, bloodline obsession, royal deception, and its historic alliance with Evloz.
Under King Antonius Starkus, Arcos becomes one of the most dangerous powers in Erodas. Its forces include soldiers, Green Vipers, and magical allies connected to Markulah.
After the Battle of Erodas, Starkus abdicates and Prince Marius becomes King Marius I of Arcos.
Isles of Myrus
The Isles of Myrus are distant islands associated with exile. After the Battle of Erodas, Starkus and Heneral Carrius are sent there following the collapse of his rule.
The islands represent removal from political power and the uncertain future of the Starkus bloodline.
Lambak
Lambak is the neutral valley of Erodas and the region of the freemen. It is known for cotton, ordinary life, healing, hidden graves, and freedom from direct monarchy.
Under the Treaty of the Valley, Lambak remained neutral and its citizens were recognized as free and independent from the crowns of Erodas.
Lambak becomes one of the most emotionally important regions in the saga. It is where Bianca is raised, where Jack lives after losing his memory, and where their love grows beside Ilog Flumen.
Important Places
Via Regia
Via Regia is one of the most important trade and war routes in Erodas. It stretches from south to east to north, connecting major regions and allowing movement between kingdoms.
Because of its importance, Via Regia becomes a key route during political conflict and military movement, including the Battle of Erodas.
Agora
Agora is the central trade district of the Nieves capital. It is a place of commerce, public life, and political visibility.
The Hero of Agora incident takes place here, where Jack saves Princess Camila while still living as an amnesiac freeman of Lambak.
During the Battle of Erodas, Agora becomes one of the major sites of siege and destruction.
Ilog Flumen
Ilog Flumen is the river at the heart of Lambak. It is one of the most important emotional locations in The Flower and the Warrior.
Bianca finds the wounded and amnesiac Logan near Ilog Flumen and names him Jack. Years later, the river remains tied to their love, memory, and final return to peace.
Unknown Graves of Lambak
The unknown graves of Lambak are burial sites connected to the hidden sacrifices that shaped the fate of Erodas.
One of the most important graves belongs to Juancho, Cecilia / Hisa, and their newborn child. They were killed after helping protect the infant Bianca. For years, the grave remained unmarked and its truth hidden.
The grave later becomes central to the revelation of Bianca's past and Logan's family history.
History
Erodas was once a magical and harmonious world associated with Maia and the diwata. According to the Ballad of Maia, human greed destroyed this harmony, leading to Maia's death, the eruption of Bulkang Kulam, and the fading of magic.
As gold moved eastward and kingdoms rose, Erodas became divided by power, wealth, bloodline, and conquest.
The War of Golds later reshaped the realm, leading to the Treaty of the Valley, which placed Nieves and Arcos above Amazon and Barakos. This old order remained until the Battle of Erodas, when the treaty was dissolved and a new Erodas began.
Political Order
For much of its history, Erodas was dominated by the High Crown of Nieves and its alliance with Arcos.
Amazon was stripped of royal status, the Baruk were banished to Barakos, and Lambak remained neutral as a freemen's region.
After the Battle of Erodas, this order changed. The Dissolution of the Treaty recognized Barakos as a region, restored Amazon's royal status, honored Bianca as Princess Bianca, crowned Marius as King of Arcos, and established new institutions such as the Royal Archives, Maius Institute, and Order of the Kingsguard.
Legacy
Erodas is remembered as a realm broken by greed, war, and false histories, but also restored through love, sacrifice, truth, and unlikely alliances.
Its lands represent different wounds and strengths: Nieves carries power and image. Evloz carries magic and grief. Amazon carries gold and dignity. Barakos carries exile and honor. Arcos carries bloodline and reckoning. Lambak carries freedom and healing.
Together, these regions form the living heart of The Pabebe Chronicles.
