Overview
King Antonius Starkus is the former ruler of Arcos, the false Great Warrior, and the principal architect of the bloodline deception and war that nearly destroy Erodas.
Rise and Vengeance
The son of King Bratus Starkus, Antonius is shaped by Arcosian militarism and his father's death by an Amazonian arrow. He turns grief into hatred of Amazon and builds his rule around conquest, male succession, and bloodline pride.
The False Great Warrior
Starkus believes he is the Dakilang Mandirigma of prophecy. He interprets warriorhood as domination and assumes the future must belong to a powerful male heir, a mistake that corrupts his family and kingdom.
Bianca and Marius
Queen Maius gives birth to Bianca, the legitimate royal child and true heir of Arcos. Starkus rejects her for being female, orders mother and child erased, and presents Madame Chona's son Marius as prince.
Marius becomes the son Starkus demanded but not the warrior he wanted. Bianca becomes the living proof that his obsession with patriarchal succession caused him to reject the very bloodline and prophecy he claimed to protect.
Rule of Arcos
Starkus rules through fear, soldiers, Green Vipers, secrecy, and brutal discipline. His alliances with Markulah and Carrius preserve a palace of false heirs, manipulated bodies, and weaponized loyalty.
Battle and Fall
At the Battle of Erodas, Starkus fights Jack as the opposing meaning of warriorhood: conquest against protection, vengeance against peace. He mortally wounds Jack with an Amazonian arrowhead, triggering Bianca's fulfillment of the prophecy.
After the war, Starkus attempts to take his own life but stops when Carrius reveals her pregnancy. He abdicates and is exiled to the Isles of Myrus, surviving without the authority to define Arcos' future.
Personality and Abilities
Starkus is proud, controlling, violent, patriarchal, and consumed by legacy. He is a formidable warrior and commander, but his inability to transform grief into wisdom makes him the false Great Warrior and the destroyer of his own house.
