Overview
The Battle of Erodas is the most important military and prophetic event in The Pabebe Chronicles: The Flower and the Warrior, fought between Arcos and the allied forces of Nieves, Amazon, and the Baruk.
Battle Summary
The Battle of Erodas is fought between the Kingdom of Arcos and the alliance of Nieves, Amazon, and the Baruk. It spreads across major locations including Via Regia, Agora, and Nieves Castle.
The war is not only a military conflict. It is also the collapse of the old order created by the Treaty of the Valley. Arcos fights to preserve its power, pride, and claim over Amazonian Gold, while the allied forces fight to stop Starkus and defend the future of Erodas.
The battle reaches its prophetic climax when Bianca protects Logan after he is mortally wounded by King Starkus. It leads to Logan's death, Bianca's sacrifice, the Divine Moment, the fulfillment of the prophecy, and the eventual dissolution of the Treaty of the Valley.
Background
Years before the battle, King Starkus and Heneral Carrius ambushed Pabs and Logan after discovering their secret relationship. Under the Treaty of the Valley, Baruks and Amazonians were forbidden from meeting, trading, conspiring, or having any secret bond.
Because Logan was Baruk and Pabs was Amazonian, Starkus declared them criminals. During the ambush, Logan was badly wounded and presumed dead. His body was later washed toward Lambak, where Bianca found him with no memory and named him Jack.
This event secretly began the chain of tragedies that would lead to the Battle of Erodas.
The False Prince Marius Scandal
Years later, Arcos captured Jack, not knowing that he was actually Logan. Heneral Carrius used him to impersonate Prince Marius after the real Marius was injured during an Amazonian ambush by Pabs and Roma.
The impersonation was meant to preserve Arcos' political image during the Grand Pabebe Ball and the arranged meeting with Princess Camila.
However, Jack's false identity was exposed by Heneral Albino and Lady Jopay, whose old selfie with the real Prince Marius proved that the man presented by Arcos was an impostor. The scandal humiliated Nieves and insulted Princess Camila, the crown heir of House Aragon.
Royal Decree of Tereprencio I
In response to the deception, Haring Tereprencio I issued a royal decree against Arcos.
By Royal Decree of the High King Tereprencio I
Be it known that the vile affront committed by the Kingdom of Arcos against the Crown Heir, Princess Camila de Aragon, is a transgression most foul and unbecoming of any sworn ally of the High Crown.
Yet, by the boundless benevolence of her sire, the Sovereign of Erodas, this trespass shall be granted pardon.
However, as penance for such insolence, the Kingdom of Arcos is henceforth stripped of all rights to levy tithes, gather tributes, or harvest gold within Amazon and its bordering lands.
Furthermore, let it be decreed that all confiscated lands of Arcos shall henceforth fall under the direct stewardship of the Royal Council.
So let it be written.
So let it be done.
Declaration of War
King Starkus rejected the decree. He argued that Tereprencio was not a signatory to the Treaty of the Valley and therefore had no right to unilaterally strip Arcos of treaty privileges.
Insulted and enraged, Starkus declared war. For Starkus, the issue was not only political: the decree threatened Arcos' access to Amazonian Gold, its military pride, and its position as partner of the High Crown. War became his answer to humiliation.
Belligerents
The forces of Arcos included King Antonius Starkus, Heneral Carrius, Markulah, the Green Viper Elite Force, 10,000 Arcosian soldiers, ninja warriors, underground creatures summoned by Markulah, and Arcosian war units and siege forces.
The allied forces of Erodas included Haring Tereprencio I de Aragon, Princess Camila, Princess Olivia, Princess Lucia, Prince Argo, Heneral Albino, Lady Jopay, Baldo the Bomber, Mylenah, Pabs, Roma, Doktora Talia, Madre Debra, Jack / Logan, Pinunong Hesi, Barkus, 2,000 Red Cloaks, 10,000 Nievesian cavalry, Nievesian artillery and archers, 5,000 Amazonian warriors, and 10,000 Baruk warriors.
March Through Via Regia
The Arcosian forces marched through Via Regia, the main route connecting the kingdoms and one of the most important paths of trade and war in Erodas.
Their advance signaled that the conflict had moved beyond punishment or diplomacy. Arcos was now invading the heart of the realm.
Siege of Agora
The Arcosian army reached Agora, where Tinyente Migor and the Green Vipers led the assault. During the siege, they tore down the monument of King Bratus II, an act meant to display Arcosian dominance and terror.
The destruction of the monument became one of the symbolic violations of the battle. It turned Agora, a place of public life, trade, and memory, into a battlefield.
Baldo the Bomber and Lady Jopay
Nieves retaliated through its artillery forces, led by Baldo the Bomber. Inspired by Lady Jopay, who fought beside him, Baldo launched a counterattack against the advancing Arcosians.
Their defense helped slow the Arcosian siege and gave Nieves a chance to rally its forces. Lady Jopay's presence on the battlefield also completed her role in the scandal that exposed Arcos.
Siege of Nieves Castle
Arcos also attacked Nieves Castle. During the chaos, Pabs protected the throne room almost single-handedly using her mixed martial arts expertise.
Her defense of the throne room became one of the most memorable moments of the battle. Although Pabs was from Amazon, a land oppressed under the Treaty of the Valley, she fought to defend Nieves because the future of all Erodas was at stake.
The Aragon Children in Battle
Princess Lucia helped defend Nieves by leading the archers during the siege. Though known as fragile and delicate, she proved her courage by standing with the defenders of the realm.
During the siege, Prince Argo led his macho boys in securing Nievesian citizens inside the palace cellar. They helped protect civilians and defended the palace against the Arcosian army. The moment transformed Argo's reputation from scandalous prince into defender of the people.
Arrival of Amazon
Princess Camila rallied with Roma and brought 5,000 Amazonian warriors to support Nieves. This was one of the most important turning points of the battle.
Amazon's arrival showed that the old restrictions of the Treaty of the Valley were already collapsing. The land once demoted and controlled now marched as a free military force in defense of Erodas.
Arrival of the Baruk
The greatest surprise came when Pinunong Hesi and Barkus joined Logan in leading 10,000 Baruk warriors into the battle.
The Baruk, long banished to Barakos and treated as outcasts, rode with the alliance against Arcos. Their arrival dramatically shifted the balance of power, leaving the Arcosian forces outnumbered. This marked one of the most important restorations of Baruk dignity in Erodas.
Turning of the Battle
With Nieves, Amazon, and the Baruk fighting together, the Arcosian forces began to lose their advantage. The old order created by the Treaty of the Valley was breaking on the battlefield itself.
Nieves brought the High Crown. Amazon brought the warriors of the east. The Baruk brought the fury of the west. Lambak brought the hidden truth through Bianca and Jack. Together, the divided lands of Erodas stood against Starkus.
Duel of Logan and Starkus
The battle reached its climax when Logan fought King Starkus.
Logan attacked with the strength and fury of a Baruk warrior, injuring Starkus and proving himself as the true warrior of the prophecy. Starkus, however, used the Amazonian arrowhead connected to the death of his father, King Bratus, to mortally wound Logan.
The same symbol that had fed Starkus' hatred became the weapon he used to strike down Logan.
Bianca Protects Logan
When Logan fell, Bianca ran to him and shielded him from the spears and chaos of the battlefield. Talia and Debra helped protect her, echoing their earlier role as the women who had saved Bianca as an infant.
Despite Bianca's attempt to save him, Logan died in her arms. This moment became the emotional and prophetic center of the battle.
The Divine Moment
Logan's death triggered the Divine Moment. As Bianca held him, time stopped across the battlefield. The sky brightened, and the prophecy from the Ballad of Maia was fulfilled.
In pure love, time stopped. The Last Flower embraced the Great Warrior. Erodas began to rise again.
Mylenah revealed her true sacred power and helped open the moment of divine stillness. Bianca's love became the force that completed the prophecy.
Defeat of Arcos
After the Divine Moment, the power and authority of Arcos collapsed. Starkus lost the battle, the moral claim to the throne, and the illusion that he was the Great Warrior.
Markulah was defeated. The Arcosian forces were broken. Heneral Carrius was spared by Pinunong Hesi after he sensed that she was pregnant.
Prince Marius later stepped forward to accept responsibility for the crimes of Arcos.
Aftermath
The Battle of Erodas led to major political and spiritual consequences. Starkus abdicated the throne of Arcos. Prince Marius became King Marius I. Starkus and Carrius were exiled to the Isles of Myrus. Markulah was sent back to Evloz to be judged under the authority of the Witches' Council and Evlozian law.
The Treaty of the Valley was dissolved. Amazon regained dignity and political agency. The Baruk were restored as part of Erodas. Lambak's hidden history was revealed.
Bianca refused the crown of Arcos and gave it to Marius. Mylenah restored Logan's memories of Bianca. Logan returned to Lambak as Jack. Erodas began rebuilding under a new order.
Legacy
The Battle of Erodas is remembered as the war that nearly destroyed the realm but also ended the old system of oppression.
It brought together peoples once divided by treaty: Nieves, Amazon, Barakos, and Lambak. It exposed the lies of Arcos, fulfilled the prophecy of Maia, and gave Erodas a chance to rise again.
The battle is the central turning point of The Flower and the Warrior.
