Impossible to Put Down, Cinematic, and Full of Personality

The Pabebe Chronicles: The Flower and the Warrior is not your typical book. It does not politely follow the usual rules of how a novel is “supposed” to be written — and that is exactly what makes it stand out.

It has its own personality: unconventional, playful, witty, and very much in tune with the language of our time. Because of that, it is so easy to read. You do not feel like you are forcing yourself to turn the next page; the story pulls you in naturally.

You know a book has gotten into your head when, right after finishing it, the first thing you do is open Spotify to look for a playlist. This book needs a playlist. Some scenes felt like they already had their own soundtrack playing in my head.

There is also something special about reading an actual physical book — the smell of the pages, the feeling of flipping through each chapter, and then suddenly reaching moments that make you stop and say, “Wait… what?”

To my friends: read this. Promise, you will not be bored, and I will not be embarrassed for recommending it.

And if this ever gets a movie adaptation someday, the story is so unpredictable and the effects needed to do it justice are so big that even Hollywood might have to think twice.
